Lidl has launched a Christmas jumper rental service for shoppers, with profits being donated to the NSPCC. Customers can rent a sweater for £2 per day via the fashion rental app By Rotation, with the scheme running until 31st December. The rental collection contains all of the German discounter’s jumpers sold between 2020 to 2023, as well as three limited edition sweaters designed in collaboration with slow-fashion specialist Lydia Bolton.

Boots has struck a £4.8bn deal with Legal & General in which liabilities for its pension scheme will be switched to the insurance firm. The buy-in insures all 53,000 members in the Boots Pension Scheme, making it the largest single transaction of its kind.
