USDA says Americans can eat lab-grown chicken

The U.S. Agriculture Department has given the go-ahead to two companies – Good Meat and Upside Foods – to sell “cell-cultivated” chicken parts, which are grown inside labs, for human consumption. “I’m thrilled to share that cultivated meat will now be available for consumers in the U.S.,” said Uma Valeti, Upside Foods’s CEO.
