Ikea confirms opening date for Oxford Street flagship

Ikea has confirmed its highly anticipated Oxford Street flagship will open at the start of May following an extensive environmental upgrade of the Grade II listed building. Despite Strong 2024 Results, Dollar General Plans to Close 140 Stores by April

Dollar General appears to have reversed course on ambitious growth plans for its brick-and-mortar fleet despite a strong 2024 fiscal year and Q4. In December 2024 Dollar General said it would open 575 stores and remodel 4,250 others during FY 2025, which ends in January 2026. Tesco pumps millions into pay rises for store staff

Tesco is investing 180m into increasing pay for thousands of its store employees from this month. Staff in the retailers supermarkets will see their hourly pay rise to 12.45 at the end of March and 12.64 in August. This will increase to 13.66 and then 13.85 in London. The new pay rates represent a rise of 5.2%, which retail trade union Usdaw said will widen the gap between the Real Living Wage.
