Best Buy Battles E-Waste with Recycle-by-Mail Technology Boxes

Best Buy will simplify responsible recycling of tablets, cords, keyboards and other electronics with a nationwide pilot of its new prepaid Technology Recycling Box. Consumers can order boxes in two sizes: small boxes that can carry up to six pounds for $22.99 and large boxes capable of carrying up to 15 pounds for $29.99. After consumers load the boxes with their old equipment, they can arrange for a UPS pickup or bring the box to a UPS drop-off location.
