Amazon ’s Buy with Prime feature — which allows retailers to offer the benefits of Prime membership on their own DTC websites — will be available to all U.S.-based Amazon merchants at the end of January. The offering was previously only available by invitation. Additionally, Amazon is adding a new feature to the Buy with Prime package that will enable merchants to display ratings and reviews from Amazon customers on their own online stores.
Retail spending increased 7.7 per cent year on year in November as consumers spent $35.9 billion in stores and online, according to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). On a monthly basis, turnover rose 1.4 per cent boosted by Black Friday sales on clothing, footwear, furniture and electronic goods. As the retail labour shortage worsens, the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) has urged the government to increase migration and provide support services for women and pensioners to boost workforce participation. According to data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, there were about 49,900 vacancies across the retail sector as of November last year – an increase of 8.2 per cent over August.

According to GlobalData’s e-commerce analytics, Singapore’s e-commerce market is set to reach US$17.9 billion in 2026, as consumers increasingly shift from offline to online purchases.
