Superdry landlords are expected to bear the brunt as the retailer prepares to launch a new restructuring plan this week in the latest attempt to turnaround the business. The ailing fashion retailer confirmed on Monday it was in the “advanced stages” of preparing a restructuring plan and expects to launch it “in the coming days”. However, it said there is no certainty the plan will be implemented.

Tesco said price pressures on supermarkets continue to ease as it reported its profits had more than doubled over the past year. Chief executive Ken Murphy said inflationary pressures had “lessened substantially” but noted that “things are still difficult for many customers”. He said the supermarket had “worked hard” to reduce prices, including “doubling down” on its Aldi Price Match offer and Clubcard Prices promotion, which is available on around 8,000 products each week.

Vicinity Centres has agreed to sell the Maddington Central shopping centre in suburban Perth to property investor Realside for $107 million, the Australian Financial Review reported. According to the report, Realside purchased the asset in an off-market trade at a premium to the $97 million book value. Sports Direct has failed in its quest to have Newcastle United sell its kit for the upcoming season kit in its stores. The Frasers Group-owned retailer filed a claim last month to the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) stating that the football club refused to supply its replica 2024/25 kit. Markee, as independent members of its board of directors.
