If the deal went through Netflix would have managed Blockbuster’s online business. As Netflix continued to gain subscribers it took Blockbuster six years to launch a similar service of its own in 2004 called Blockbuster Online. If you didn’t return your movie rental on time you were charged a dollar a day. Poor execution.
