Costco plans to open three new stores in Melbourne and Geelong within the next two years, investing up to $150 million. CEO Patrick Noone told The Australian in an interview that potential sites were identified near Melbourne’s CBD, and at Officer and Geelong. He will be replaced by his predecessor, Chris de Lapuente, Chairman and CEO of the Selective Retailing division of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton , Sephora’s parent company. According to an internal release obtained by WWD , Brok’s departure is “due to a divergence of views.”.

Global brand management firm WHP Global has bought a 70 per cent stake in Isaac Mizrahi from Xcel Brands, in a deal valuing the American designer label at US$68 million. Xcel Brands, a media and consumer products company specialising in livestream shopping on TV and online, will retain a minority stake of 30 per cent in the transaction and take $46.2 million in cash proceeds.

Lululemon Athletica and H&M Group are among backers of a $250 million fund aiming to speed up efforts to cut carbon emissions in the fashion industry’s supply chain, non-profit group Apparel Impact Institute said on Wednesday. Bringing together clothing brands, philanthropic donors and other industry stakeholders, the institute’s Fashion Climate Fund also hopes to unlock a further $2 billion in funding once effective solutions have been found and scaled up.
