Federal judges rule that Amazon driver’s privacy suit can move ahead

A federal court has ruled in favor of a former Amazon Flex driver suing the company for violating the California Invasion of Privacy Act and the Federal Wiretap Act. Amazon’s alleged misconduct existed independently of the contract and therefore fell outside the scope of the arbitration provision in the 2016 TOS [terms of service].
