Suit Direct opens new Westfield flagship amid expansion spree

Suit Direct has opened a new flagship store at Westfield Stratford City as part of its national expansion plans.

The menswear retailer said its new 1,731sq ft location in the shopping centre will serve as a “blueprint” for its stores going forward.

The new store, which offers a flexible shop fit, houses the brand’s new spring summer collection and lifestyle ranges.

Suit Direct retail director Amanda Argent said: “We have created zoned areas in the store to allow the customer to shop for all occasions with strategic merchandising and 360 mannequin displays.

“This space is all about encouraging dwell time for the customer to give them the best in store experience,” she said.

Director of national retail Michael Lockhart at Savills, who advised on the deal, added: “We are delighted to have advised our client on the acquisition of their new flagship store in London.

“Westfield Stratford is one of the leading shopping centres in Europe, and acquiring a new store in this location is a huge advancement towards the company’s ambitious and exciting plans for the future.”

It joins the latest string of openings at the shopping centre and follows last week’s unveiling of JD Sports’ biggest-ever store.

Meanwhile, Gymshark is set to open its second UK store in Westfield Stratford City this summer and Next will follow in the Autumn with a new 34,000sq ft flagship on the first floor.
