Seasonal promotions available to stores this week include deals on burgers, kebabs, potato salad and coleslaw, as customers bring out their barbecues.

Wines, beers and soft drinks are also on offer, with R White’s two-litre lemonade at £1 and bottles of Trivento Reserve Malbec rosé at £6.50, £2 less than the usual price.

Promotions manager at Nisa, Laura O’Hearne, said: “With lots of uncertainty still surrounding summer holidays and other travel plans, as well as nationwide anxieties surrounding socialising after a tough 16 months, shoppers will be looking for ways to celebrate key summer events, such as graduations at home.

“And the nationwide desire to spend time outdoors whilst staying safe continues to contribute to a surge in demand of barbecue and outdoor dining products.

“In addition to the staple protein shoppers look for before a barbeque, we are encouraging our partners to offer additional alfresco accompaniments to help build basket spend, such as condiments, bread rolls, cheese and fresh salads, for example.”

Deals will be available in stores until Tuesday 10 August.
