STG said Signature Red Filter is currently the ninth best-selling cigar brand in the UK with an annual sales value of just under £8m.
STG’s brand activation manager Clara Maria Endresen said: “We know consumers are increasingly looking for more compact and convenient formats so we anticipate this change will be well received, particularly at the new reduced price point.
“The ‘filter and flavour’ segment and in particular vanilla, grew approximately 8% between 2018 and 2020 so there is increasing demand for this type of cigar, and we recommend that retailers stock up to meet the expected demand.”
