Alison and Richard Hillier, who own Heytesbury Stores in Warminster, took home the £10,000 top prize – as did Devinder Singh, the proprietor of Seven Days in Dunoon.

“Finding out I’d won was a bit of a shock,” said Alison Hillier. “It’s not every day that someone phones you to tell you that you’ve won ten thousand pounds!”

Devinder commented: “I’m delighted to have won this huge prize, as I never win anything. The money will enable us to pay for holidays to India and will go a long way during the current financial climate.”

In addition to the two top prizes of £10,000, a further 20 prizes of £1,000 were also awarded to National Lottery retailers for maintaining high in-store standards as part of the rewards programme.

The £1,000 winners are:

  • Neil Calvert of One Stop in Durham
  • Shakir Shakoor of Weaver Row Newsagents in Stirling
  • Mehul & Asha Patel of Best One in Leeds
  • Basharat Rafiq of Haji News in Rotherham
  • Shourya Kundra of Askern Stores in Pontefract
  • Paresh Amin of News Centre in Basingstoke
  • Hiralbahen Patel of Rahi News in Upton Park
  • Shehzad Aslam of Nisa in Dunfermline
  • Bipin Patel of MACE in Northampton
  • Mark Hurst of The Cash Stores in Rugeley
  • Somasundaram Sivagnanasundaram of Maswell Park Newsagent in Hounslow
  • Sakina & Saleem Masih of Midton Street News and Grocers in Springburn
  • National Lottery retailers in Bristol, Huddersfield, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Oldham, Stratford-Upon-Avon and Wigston

This is the second time that Paresh Amin has scooped the £1,000 prize in a Camelot Site, Stock, Sell online prize draw. He said: “I was extremely surprised and excited to get the call telling me I’d won £1,000 again. Site, Stock, Sell online offers great incentives, and rewards me for keeping my in-store standards high.”

Camelot’s retail director, Jenny Blogg, said: “I’d like to say a huge congratulations to every single one of our winners – they’ve worked hard to keep their in-store standards high and they thoroughly deserve their prizes. By doing such a great job in keeping things like POS up-to-date and well sited, they’re maximising National Lottery ticket sales opportunities for their stores – which goes a long way in helping to raise over £30 million every week for Good Causes.”
