During #RICE22, Attendees Can Dive Deep, Go Broad or Both

Perhaps you’re laser-focused on discovering ways to maximize ecommerce revenue; perhaps you seek store designs that promote experiential retail, but on a budget; or maybe you want to determine whether live shopping and the metaverse are a fit for your business. Good news: you can satisfy your curiosity on these and dozens of other topics in one place, the 2022 Retail Innovation Conference & Expo, coming up May 10-12 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The event, which combines three previously separate shows, has been designed to provide a broad view of industry and consumer trends, as well as deep dives into role-specific topics and technologies. Featuring a cross-section of different brand categories, the event experience is designed to inspire collaboration and idea-sharing, offering numerous opportunities for attendees to network with a range of fellow retail executives and industry experts.

  • IRCE focuses on digital ecommerce, with sessions offering practical advice on digital marketing, personalization techniques, creating friction-free shopper journeys and the latest on emerging tech like BNPL apps, NFTs and the metaverse. The program also will create a forum for DTC and CPG brands using digital and omnichannel strategies to both increase sales and get closer to the end consumer;
  • The design:retail Conference & Expo will provide valuable insights on new store concepts and visual merchandising strategies, ways to enhance the power of experiential retail and hot topics such as creating hyper-local, community-driven experiences; and
  • The Retail Innovation Summit offers insights for C-level executives and strategic thinkers into topics such as what the next phase of omnichannel retailing will look like, ways digital and physical experiences can be artfully combined and how consumer behavior changes will affect retail (and vice versa) in the coming years.

“The Retail Innovation Conference & Expo reflects a new, exciting era of connected commerce — one that requires deeper cross-functional collaboration, ideation and alignment on goals ,” said Alicia Esposito, VP of Content for Retail TouchPoints, producer of #RICE22. “In today’s environment, for example, store operations needs to be connected not just to IT and merchandising but also store design and fulfillment, to support offerings like curbside pickup and BOPIS. Ecommerce executives need to be concerned with what happens when shoppers visit a brick-and-mortar store to check out an item in person.

“When every trip a shopper makes to the store needs to be maximized, it’s vital for all those responsible for the customer experience to work together, both online and offline,” Esposito added.

The sessions and workshops will be chock-full of information and insights, but they won’t be the only opportunity for learning. “While we’ll have an incredible agenda of thought-provoking sessions and panel discussions, we’re most excited to bring together people across the industry to create a forum where they can go deep into the issues that are important to them, but even more importantly, learn from each other,” Esposito added.
