McDonald’s (Chicago) is planning to raise hourly wages at its U.S.-based, company-owned locations by 10 percent, CNBC reports.

Based on location, this means entry-level workers could make between $11 and $17 per hour, while shift managers would make roughly $15-$20 an hour. The company said it anticipates paying workers an average of $15 at its company-owned restaurants by 2024.

McDonald’s is looking to hire about 10,000 additional workers for its company-owned restaurants over the next three months. The wage increase does not impact employees working at franchise locations, which accounts for 95 percent of the company’s restaurants in the U.S.
