Luxury fashion retailer Oroton has introduced a rental service in collaboration with technology and logistics company Rntr.

Customers in Australia can now rent Oroton clothing and accessories directly from the brand’s website, with new products introduced on a monthly basis.

“To complement our commitment to quality and utility, it was only natural for the business to expand into rental, extending the lifespan of our products while offering an accessible experience for our customers,” said Oroton CEO, Jennifer Child.

Rntr successfully ran a trial operation with a handpicked selection of Oroton clothes last year, with some sold-out items achieving a 370 per cent ROI after 24 rentals and resale. Oroton now intends to scale the model in-house.

“Rental is a natural step for Oroton’s quality products and to contribute to more responsible consumption and fashion waste reduction,” Child added.

Rntr is Australia’s first full-service re-commerce plug-in solution, allowing fashion firms to offer rental, resale, and repair services directly from their website, assisting them in meeting income and sustainability goals.
