Grosvenor today announces new retail activity at Liverpool ONE, where luxury footwear brand Kick Game has signed for a 3,500 sq ft unit on South John Street. Kick Game will join Kenji, the Japanese-inspired homeware and stationary retailer, which is upsizing its store by 40%.

Kick Game Liverpool ONE is set to open in July and will mark the brand’s city debut, joining stores in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds. The luxury retailer will offer exclusive sneaker and streetwear collections from renowned sportwear brands such as Nike, adidas, Supreme and Off-White.

Alicia Thompson, CEO of Kick Game, commented, “Liverpool is increasingly becoming an urban hub for streetwear fashion and hype sneakers, which made it a key location for us to extend the reach of our brand. We are hugely excited to be moving onto South John Street at Liverpool ONE, and look forward to opening our doors in a few months time, introducing our exclusive selection of luxury sneakers and streetwear to a new Liverpool audience.”

Alongside Kick Game on South John Street, Kenji’s Liverpool ONE store is set to upsize by 40%, and will continue to offer its signature range of playful giftware and stationery, including its selection of colourful plushies. Stocking products designed in the North West of England, Kenji’s upsized store will be one of the brand’s first to feature new arcade-like claw machines, and will introduce their new ‘makers section’, a space set aside for small business owners and local Liverpool creatives to sell and feature their products.

Alison Clegg, Managing Director, Asset Management, Grosvenor, added, “We are proud that renowned fashion labels such as Kick Game continue to choose Liverpool ONE as a key location within their expansion journeys. This signing, combined with the upsizing of Kenji, reiterates Liverpool ONE as a long-term destination for brands to put down roots. Both retailers contribute to the destination’s varied and vibrant offering, which we are constantly adapting to mirror the evolution of consumer demand.”

This news follows a busy beginning to 2022 for Liverpool ONE, with the successful openings of Timothy Oulton, Russell & Bromley, and a new high spec EE store, as well as the announcement from Gravity of plans for a new £10 million leisure experience. The 100,000 sq ft Gravity is set to open later this year, located on the upper two floors of the former Debenhams and will be it’s biggest investment to date.
