The exclusive interior design of Bonedea brings to life the narrative of ‘Bona Dea’ the roman goddess that inspired the name of the luxury emporium. Studio Clementine has created a stunning backdrop to display the exquisite objet d’art, it is an invitation to step into an ethereal world full of intricate details, romantic and playful touches befitting a goddess.

Every detail is designed to connect with the story of the ‘Good Goddess’ who was known for hosting rituals for women, gathering during festivities to drink wine and decorate their houses with plants and flowers. The winter garden room, a place imagined for entertaining, features a hand-painted wallpaper by Fromental, inspired by ancient Pompeii motif decorations and the custom bas-relief ceiling in the main room features intricately carved vines, butterflies, and bees.

Inspired by ancient roman architecture, the colonnades and bespoke marble floors in the main room give a sense of walking into an Italian Palazzo with a modern-day sensibility where the colours are inspired by Italian fashion and the whimsical photography of Tim Walker. The custom-built marble and limestone fireplaces provide a relaxed ‘at home’ atmosphere for the tableware displays and the silk lined cabinets showcase the hand-crafted objet d’art and rare glassware, the room is beautifully finished with a striking Cartier chandelier by Mathieu Lustrerie.

The goddess worthy powder room is fitted with hand cut pale blush rose onyx and a beautiful crystal basin.  Hand-embroidered sheer by Pierre Frey, the silk organza is embroidered with an Indian floral motif dating from the 18th century adorned with a delicate fringe by Samuel and Son, dress the window giving a whimsical vibe, enhancing the romantic atmosphere.
