Australian fashion label Venroy has launched its first store abroad – in Italy’s Ise of Capri – the first step in an international expansion plan.

The Mediterranean island store was designed by in-house architect Sarah l’Anson.

Venroy says its new store in Europe is the brand’s most important expansion to date and embodies its hotel idea by using carefully chosen furnishings and works of art to exhibit merchandise.

There are three interconnected rooms in the store. The first space is a dressing room with a vintage Harvey Guzzini Meblo chandelier lamp, an Italian mid-century modern triptych dressing mirror, and a linen-upholstered mannequin.

The second room features current collections with a mid-century closet, a vintage hotel desk, and a table light by Goffre Reggiani. The Carpi collection is housed in the third chamber and has an Austrian Biedermeier walnut display cabinet from the 19th century.

According to Venroy, the store was designed with natural materials and an understated colour palette featuring warm honey tones and soft whites with bold orange accents.

Coir, raw canvas, and timber were used to instill a sense of comfort and relaxation and to give the space individuality.

“Nostalgia is the key component of our spaces,” said Sean Venturi, founder of Venroy.

“When you into our store, we want you to feel transported, we want to evoke a fond memory of somewhere you visited once and will never forget. For just a moment, we want to take you back there.”
