As all three agreed on the pronunciation “Re-sees,” the comments section was soon brimming with alternative pronunciations and spirited clarifications from viewers.

One viewer used Reese Witherspoon as a point of reference, stating, “We say Reese like Reese Witherspoon. Like Reese’s dress is blue.” Others emphasized the pronunciation as “ReesIS Pieces,” aligning with the rhyming phrase, while some insisted on “ree-sis.”

One individual, claiming to be from Hershey, the town synonymous with the candy, confirmed that it’s pronounced as the possessive form of Reese, aligning with its spelling and origin — H. B. Reese, the founder of the Reese’s brand. This spirited exchange underscored the enduring debate over the pronunciation of this iconic candy’s name.
