Amazon asks Virginia for first HQ2 incentive payment of $152 million+

Amazon.com has requested more than $152 million in incentives the state of Virginia agreed to pay it for locating its HQ2 operations in the Arlington area. The retail and technology giant submitted the request at a time following massive layoffs and reduced financial results. Virginia agreed to pay Amazon $22,000 for every job created in the state paying $150,000 a year or more.
