Creative agency, Mynt, has designed a new retail concept for SPORT 2000, the international sports retail giant. The new concept, which was first launched at the Tribeca Mall in Mauritius, is being rolled out into various store shapes, sizes, and formats globally.

The 1,000sqm concept brings to life SPORT 2000’s new brand positioning, ‘Home of Experts,’ which was also devised by Mynt. The store features key zones where customers can receive the very best-in-class sporting tips and advice from SPORT 2000’s in-house experts. The new in-store tone of voice is friendly and encouraging, prompting a two-way conversation between customers and SPORT 2000 experts.

The space has been designed to be fully flexible in terms of categorization and product merchandising. Customers can test and try all sporting category equipment, footwear, and apparel from top brands such as Adidas, Kettler, Hoka, and Puma. Key categories include Running, Swim, Outdoor, Lifestyle, and Fitness.

At the heart of the store concept is a new ‘hub’ where customers engage with SPORT 2000’s team of experts for a conversation starter, sharing stories, and picking up the best advice. The new ‘pop-up space’ allows customers to discover new brands and products while learning about different topics such as nutrition, gaming, and cosmetics. Pop-up talks will update and change regularly, keeping customers intrigued and willing to make return visits to the store.

The retail unitary and furniture are designed to align with SPORT 2000’s ‘flexible destination store’ strategy, allowing for easy reconfiguration and opening up the space to host special events, yoga classes, Q&A sessions, and more. This creates an engaging environment for the sports-loving community.

Speaking about the new concept, Mynt said: “We’re thrilled to have partnered with SPORT 2000 to create a new retail concept that brings their new brand positioning, ‘Home of Experts,’ to life. Our goal was to create a space that’s engaging, flexible, and easy to navigate while also providing customers with the very best sporting advice and product merchandising. We’re excited to see the new concept being rolled out in various store formats and locations globally and look forward to continuing our partnership with SPORT 2000.”

SPORT 2000 is one of the world’s leading sports retail brands, with more than 3,500 stores in over 25 countries. The new retail concept aims to provide a more immersive and engaging shopping experience for customers while also positioning SPORT 2000 as the ultimate destination for sporting enthusiasts.

The new concept store is set to open in several locations globally, providing customers with the opportunity to experience the ‘Home of Experts’ and receive the very best-in-class sporting tips and advice from SPORT 2000’s in-house experts. This new retail concept marks an exciting development for the sports retail giant as it continues to innovate and provide customers with the best possible shopping experience.
