Online South Australian apparel brand ORTC Clothing Co has opened its first physical location in Norwood, Adelaide.

Under the partnership with Adelaide-based interior designer, Georgie Fried of Alchemists ID, the store is located on The Parade and boasts three open-plan spaces. It is designed with warm colour tones such as wood and white and features locally made art and furniture items.

“Having worked hard on establishing and building the brand the past six years, it is so rewarding to be in a position to officially open a store that encapsulates our identity and who we are as a brand,” said Charlie Hender co-founder and co-director of ORTC Clothing Co.

“The store is full of natural light, open space, and beautiful neutral tones, creating a warm and inviting customer experience. We want customers to have a moment of escapism upon entry into the store.”

Co-founder William Swale reports the flagship store exemplifies ORTC’s dedication to integrating an in-store and online experience.

“In an industry that is becoming entrenched in an accelerating e-commerce environment, we still see the importance and are excited to provide customers with an opportunity to experience our brand and range in person,” he said.

Swale adds the brand is eyeing other expansions in the future.

ORTC Clothing Co, founded in 2016, provides a diverse range of clothing for children and women. The brand grew by 130 per cent in the previous fiscal year, after a more than 200 per cent increase in the 2020/21 fiscal year. It is that growth rate that led to the company’s investment in Adelaide’s retail operation.
