Walgreens lowers forecast as COVID test and vaccine sales wane

Walgreens has lowered its annual forecast after seeing demand for COVID-19 tests and vaccines fall off in recent months. “Our revised guidance takes an appropriately cautious forward view in light of consumer spending uncertainty,” said Walgreens Boots Alliance CEO Rosalind Brewer. Walgreens reported a 0.2 percent decline in the third quarter, below the 2.1 percent gain expected by analysts.
