Starbucks has lost 17 of 18 cases for union connected federal labor law violations

Starbucks violated federal law when it penalized a barista for responding to a subpoena ordering him to appear before a National Labor Relations Board hearing. The hearing was postponed right before it was supposed to commence and the worker could not be legally held responsible for missing work even if the proceedings did not occur as planned, according to a NLRB judge. Starbucks has now lost 17 of 18 hearings where it was accused of violating laws tied to unionizing activity at its stores.
