In Third Physical-Digital Split This Year, HBC Divides Hudson’s Bay Into Online and In-Store Businesses

HBC will separate Hudson’s Bay into distinct brick-and-mortar and ecommerce businesses in an effort to accelerate the brand’s digital-first transformation. Shoppers push back purchases as kids return to college

The share of job listings that require new hires to be vaccinated against COVID-19 doubled in the first week of August to around 1,200, according to Indeed economist AnnElizabeth Konkel. “While the number of postings requiring a vaccine is still low, it’s a trend that’s really taking off,” Ms. Konkel said. “I think a growing number of employers are trying to keep workers safe and do not want to shut down again this winter. … They see vaccines as the way out of this pandemic.”.

Giant Eagle to Accept Paypal, Venmo in Stores

Giant Eagle (Pittsburgh, Pa.) will become the first U.S. grocery and c-store chain to accept payments via PayPal and Venmo, reports WPXI. The new forms of payment can be used at the retailer’s 474 supermarket and GetGo stores.
