Grubhub Fends off Kroger Bid to Block Use of Fork-And-Knife Logo
September 14, 2023
Kroger’s meal-kit service, Home Chef, has been unsuccessful in convincing a U.S. appeals court to prevent Grubhub from using a fork-and-knife logo, claiming it would lead to consumer confusion. The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Illinois federal court’s decision, deeming Home Chef’s case insufficient for a preliminary injunction. Grubhub, which was acquired by Netherlands-based Just Eat Takeaway.com in 2021, will continue using the logo.
