Walmart U.S. chief merchandising officer is stepping down

Charles Redfield, a longtime veteran at Walmart, is stepping down as chief merchandising officer of the retailer’s U.S. after just over a year on the job. A replacement has not been named. Mr. Redfield began working as a cashier at Sam’s Club 32 years ago. He led Walmart’s U.S. grocery business starting in 2015 before being named chief merchant last year.
