Five Below Plans 170 New Locations Following Successful Holiday Season

Five Below will open 170 stores over the next nine months, bringing its total to more than 1,200 locations, according to Knox Pages. The effort kicked off with 11 stores across Ohio, Maryland, Florida, Texas, New York and Mississippi in the first week of February, with more grand openings slated for every weekend through November 2021. All stores will follow CDC-recommended health and safety protocols, including mandatory masks and regular sanitization.

Adidas Divests Reebok, Plans to Focus on Flagship Brand

Adidas will cut Reebok loose following an assessment undertaken as part of the retailer’s soon-to-be-announced five-year strategy. As a result, it will report Reebok as “discontinued operations” from Q1 2021 onwards. This will enable the company to focus on strengthening the adidas brand in the global sporting goods market. Adidas initially acquired Reebok in 2006 and implemented the “Muscle Up” turnaround plan in 2016.
