Best Buy beats modest sales and earnings expectations

Best Buy reported second-quarter earnings per share of $1.54, compared to analysts’ expectations of $1.27, even as same-store sales fell 12.1 percent. Wall Street was expecting Best Buy’s comp sales to decline 12.6 percent.
