Shareholders urge Amazon to boost tax transparency

A group of 24 Amazon investors are urging the tech giant to step up transparency in tax disclosures and adopt a new reporting standard, the Financial Times said on Sunday. Asset managers Nordea, Royal London and several large European and U.S. pension funds are among those pushing for Amazon to issue a transparency report in line with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) tax standard, the newspaper said.

What does the TGA’s health influencer ‘ban’ mean for business?

From July 1, under new guidelines from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), social media influencers will no longer be paid to promote health and beauty products using their own personal experience. According to the guidelines, any social media post that promotes the use or supply of a therapeutic good is considered an advertisement, and must therefore comply with TGA legislation regardless of where it appears.
