Gelatissimo opens stores in Thailand, Singapore, Hawaii

Australian gelato chain Gelatissimo has opened five new stores – including in Thailand and Singapore – taking its international store network to 70. One store has opened in Sunny Laguna in Phuket, Thailand, another in Hawaii’s Royal Hawaiian Center at Waikiki and a third at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore. In Australia, the company opened stores in Rhodes, NSW, and Highpoint, Victoria.

BP Buys TravelCenters for $1.3B, Adding Fuel and Convenience Stores in 44 States

BP Products North America , a subsidiary of BP plc, will purchase the TravelCenters of America chain of approximately 280 fuel, convenience and QSR sites for $1.3 billion. The petroleum retailer wants to complement its more than 8,000 off-highway locations to offer a seamless experience to transportation fleets. Additionally, the purchase, which is subject to regulatory and TravelCenters shareholder approval, will provide options for expanding and developing a range of fuel offerings.

Flight Centre Group revenue jumps 217 per cent in first half

Global expansion fuels hefty profit boost for Lovisa

Companies stick with four-day workweek after pilot ends

Ninety-two percent of the 61 companies that took part in a six-month test of a four-day workweek have continued following the completion of the pilot. Sixty percent of workers who took part in the test said they were better able to combine the responsibilities of their jobs and personal lives as a result. Woolworths’ first-half profit increases as customers return to stores

Woolworths has reported a lift in its December half profits, however inflationary pressures continue to loom over the business in the months ahead. For the 27 weeks to January 1, sales reached $33.2 billion, up 4 per cent, while tax-paid profit grew 14 per cent to $907 million. Walmart tempers outlook following strong holiday quarter
