Kim Kardashian Invests in Truff Through SKKY Partners

November 23, 2023

Kim Kardashian, famed media personality and entrepreneur, isn’t shy when it comes to embracing new business ventures. She has recently made her first venture capital investment through her private equity firm, SKKY Partners. Truff, a brand known for its truffle-infused condiments, is the lucky recipient of the firm’s inaugural financial backing.

The private equity firm was co-founded by Kardashian and a former Carlyle Group executive. SKKY Partners has expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Truff, citing the brand’s distinctive taste, innovative approach to product creation, and strong social media presence as key anticipations in their decision. The firm acknowledges that their investment is a strategic alignment with a brand that has not only formed deep connections with its consumer base but also holds significant potential for growth and expansion.

Truff, which manifested into the food industry in 2017, has been evolving. Initially a direct-to-consumer brand, it has successfully transitioned into mainstream retail. Along the way, it has forged intriguing collaborations, including those with Taco Bell and Hidden Valley. This investment deal promises to inject fresh energy into the brand, as it ushers in Mark Ramadan, co-founder and former CEO of Sir Kensington’s condiments, as a new board member.

Details surrounding the financial aspects of the deal remain undisclosed. However, the deal’s conclusion is anticipated to be announced as early as next year.

“Truff is exactly the kind of business that embodies what we were looking for when we founded SKKY — a next-generation brand with a deep, authentic connection with consumers and the potential for ongoing growth,” Kardashian said. “We’re proud to be kicking off the SKKY portfolio with this investment.”

According to their press release, SKKY Partners’ investment strategy primarily targets brands that hold cultural relevance within sectors such as health and wellness, food and beverage, and apparel.
