Walmart uses AI and machine learning to keep shelves stocked
March 28, 2023
Walmart’s data collection capabilities let it know with 95 percent accuracy its inventory levels on store shelves and backrooms. Associates are alerted to be ready to move stock when the amount of products on the shelf hit a preset level. If there is no backroom stock and a delivery is made that day, associates are given notice to move product pallets straight to the store floor.
