Uber Eats ghosts thousands of virtual kitchens

Uber Eats is removing thousands of ghost kitchens with duplicate menus from its app in an effort to make the experience more pleasurable for its users. The company has also unveiled new standards for ghost kitchen operators to follow. “Communicating — and beginning to enforce — these new quality standards for Virtual Restaurants on Uber Eats is an important step for our program, designed to benefit both consumers and merchants,” said John Mullenholz, Uber’s virtual restaurant head.
