Liquidation warehouses fill up as retailers struggle with excess inventory

Retailers are selling excess stock to liquidators in an attempt to align their inventories with consumer demand. “It’s unprecedented,” said Chuck Johnston, a former Walmart executive and chief strategy officer at goTRG. “I have never seen the pressure in terms of excess inventory as I am seeing right now.”
