Arby’s Reveals ‘Good Burger’ Meal and Merchandise Ahead of Film Sequel
November 14, 2023
To celebrate the release of the long-awaited sequel to the 1997 feature film “Good Burger,” Arby’s has debuted a meal honoring the movie and a series of related merchandise. Fans of the film can purchase these limited-release items, as well as the meal, to celebrate the film’s November release.
Arby’s menu now features the Good Burger 2 meal. This menu item consists of Arby’s deluxe Wagyu steakhouse burger, a new strawberry shake, and crinkle-cut french fries. The unique combo was released on Nov. 13 and is only available for a limited time, according to Arby’s announcement.
Arby’s website lists the ingredients of the burger as “a Wagyu blend burger topped with American cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and burger sauce on a toasted buttery brioche bun.” It is made with a 51% American Wagyu blend and 49% ground beef.
The meal is inspired by the food served in the film, People Magazine noted, including the strawberry Good Shakes and the burgers and fries sold by the characters made famous by actors Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell in the 1990s. In the movie, Kenan and Kel played co-workers who tried to save the old burger joint they worked for from failing after the opening of a brand new burger restaurant across the street.
The actors reprise their roles in the sequel. The film follows “Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) and original cashier Ed (Kel Mitchell) as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees.”
“Good Burger 2” will also feature surprise celebrity cameos and original cast from the television series who are reprising their roles: Josh Server as Fizz, Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon, and Carmen Electra as Roxanne. Thompson and Mitchell produced the film.
“Good Burger 2” merchandise includes a black T-shirt and a grey crewneck sweatshirt. Both feature logos, including the collaboration between Arby’s and the film. The T-shirt retails for $25, and the sweatshirt is $50.
“Good Burger 2” debuts on Paramount+ beginning Nov. 22., and the Arby’s meal is available for purchase for a limited time only.
