However, the company’s managing director, Peter van der Poel, emphasized that without changes to incentives that currently favor incineration, recycling may not be financially viable in many markets. Ingka is committed to sustainability and has invested billions of euros in renewable energy and forest projects, aiming to operate within a circular economy model.
