Dr Pepper Releases New Limited Coconut-Flavored Products
April 18, 2024
Dr Pepper is introducing a new limited-time flavor to its lineup: Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut and Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut Zero Sugar. This special-edition flavor is set to hit store shelves nationwide starting May 1 and will be available until the end of July.
Consumers will have two packaging options to choose from when purchasing this new flavor. It will be offered in 12-ounce 12-packs as well as 20-ounce individual bottles.
The new flavor promises to blend the familiar taste of the original 23 Dr Pepper flavors with tropical coconut notes, resulting in a creamy finish. Dr Pepper highlights this as the only “coconut-cream-flavored dark soda on the market.”
In addition to the new soda flavors, Dr Pepper has collaborated with Coffee Mate to launch a coconut lime-flavored creamer. This creamer is specifically designed to be mixed with Dr Pepper, creating a unique beverage known as a “dirty soda.” The creamer combines coconut and lime flavors to complement the classic Dr Pepper taste.
Both the new Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut flavor and the Coffee Mate creamer will be available for a limited time. Consumers interested in trying these new products can find them in stores from May through July.
Furthermore, these new flavors are finding extra benefits in Utah. Utah has a new reason to celebrate with Dr Pepper launching its Creamy Coconut soda, a nod to the state’s love for coconut-flavored drinks. This new flavor joins the ranks of Utah’s popular dirty sodas, a unique blend of cola and coconut syrup that has become a local favorite.
The dirty sodas, a Utah innovation, have given rise to numerous soda shop chains across the state. These shops offer a variety of flavor combinations.
While cherry cola remains a classic flavor combination, it’s the coconut craze that has captured Utah’s attention in recent times. Last year, Coca-Cola introduced a coconut-infused variety as part of its “Creations” line, but it has since been discontinued.
The popularity of flavor-mixed sodas in Utah can be attributed to the state’s dominant religion, which discourages the consumption of coffee, tea, and alcohol. This has created a niche market for unique and creative soda flavors, making Utah a hotspot for soda enthusiasts.
