Collectible toy giant Pop Mart has launched its first pop-up store in Sydney, after opening its first brick-and-mortar store in Melbourne in August.

The store is located in Westfield Sydney and includes an automated Robo shop and a retail store. It features the company’s exclusive characters, such as the Pino Jelly “How Are You Feeling Today?” series, the Mega Collection 1000% Skullpanda Between Light and Dark, and the limited-edition figurine Pucky The Ghost.

Pop Mart reports it will continue to open more physical stores, pop-up stores and Robo shops throughout Australia to spread awareness of the art toy culture among more local customers.

With more than 350 locations and more than 1800 Robo Shops worldwide, Pop Mart has increased its global footprint to 23 countries and regions since 2018.

The company currently operates one retail store, two pop-up stores, six Robo Shops and one e-commerce channel in Australia.

Besides Australia, Pop Mart intends to expand into other Southeast Asian countries. The toy company has teamed up with Shopee to boost its online sales in Thailand and the Philippines while also planning to enter Vietnam.

The ambitious international expansion strategy of Pop Mart doesn’t appear to be slowing down. The company’s goal is on increasing its footprint in current territories, both online and offline, in addition to opening in new regions every year.
