Dunkin’ Brands Acquired by Inspire Brands for $11.3 Billion

Inspire Brands will purchase Dunkin’ Brands , parent company of Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins , in a transaction valued at approximately $11.3 billion. Dunkin’ will join a restaurant portfolio of more than 11,000 locations, across brands including Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, SONIC Drive-In and Jimmy John’s. The deal will nearly triple Inspire’s footprint, with the addition of more than 12,500 Dunkin’ and almost 8,000.

Under Armour Will Exit up to 3,000 Wholesale Partnerships to Focus on DTC

Under Armour plans to overhaul its wholesale partnerships, exiting between 2,000 and 3,000 stores in North America, according to company executives on a recent earnings call. The brand expects to be in approximately 10,000 stores by the end of 2022 as it shifts its toward direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels. “I just want to make it very clear, we’re going to grow in North America,” Under Armour President and CEO Patrik Frisk said on the call.
