The World’s Most On-Time Airports Revealed
January 2, 2024
The annual list of the world’s most on-time airports has been revealed. According to Cirium, a trusted source for aviation analytics, Delta Air Lines celebrates a Platinum Award for global operational excellence for the third year in a row. The airline also tops the list as being the most on-time airline in North America.
Other top airlines in North America include Alaska Airlines, which is in second place. American, United, Southwest, Spirit, WestJet, Frontier, JetBlue, and Air Canada followed them.
Cirium defines on-time arrivals as a “flight that arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled gate arrival. For an airport, it is defined as departing within 15 minutes of its scheduled departure.”
When it comes to global rankings, Avianca Airlines, based in Bogota, Columbia, was the most on-time airline. Other winners include All Nippon Airways for Asia Pacific, Oman Air for the Middle East and Africa, Copa Airlines in Latin America, and Iberia Express in Europe. A global airline is defined as one that serves three regions daily, the company said.
