Telehealth firms that prescribe abortion pills are reporting an increase in orders from states where abortion is banned or restricted. “The increase in demand has been disproportionate,” said Sandra Cardona, founder of Red Necesito Abortar, a nonprofit in Monterrey, Mexico. Red Necesito Abortar has seen a marked increase in requests for abortion pills from women in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
