2024 Girl Scout Cookie Season Is Fast Approaching

January 3, 2024

Every year, Girl Scout Cookies garner a large consumer fan following, and this year, things don’t seem to be any different. The upcoming 2024 season of cookies has been slowly revealed, even though the exact dates of sale vary from one troop and region to the next. Historically, the cookie sale usually begins in mid-January and runs through the beginning of April.

In 2024, Girl Scout Cookies will feature 12 different flavors. Although the Girl Scouts haven’t revealed any new flavors for the upcoming season, there is always the chance for a surprise. For now, the list of expected cookie flavors includes the following crowd favorites:

  • Tagalongs (AKA Peanut Butter Patties): Chocolate-dipped shortbread cookies with a smooth peanut butter layer.
  • Toffee-tastics: Gluten-free, sweet, buttery cookies.
  • Thin Mints: Crunchy cookies with a delicious chocolate mint coating.
  • Do-si-dos (AKA Peanut Butter Sandwich): Oatmeal sandwich cookies filled with creamy peanut butter.
  • Caramel Chocolate Chip: Gluten-free, chewy cookies with caramel, chocolate chips, and a touch of sea salt.
  • Caramel deLites (AKA Samoas): Crispy cookies topped with caramel, coconut, and chocolate.
  • Adventurefuls: Cookies inspired by brownies, topped with caramel crème.
  • Toast-Yay!: Iced toast-shaped cookies with a French toast flavor.
  • Lemon-Ups: Crispy lemon cookies with inspiring quotes baked in.
  • Girl Scout S’mores: Graham sandwich cookies filled with chocolate and marshmallow.
  • Lemonades: Shortbread cookies topped with a tangy lemon icing.
  • Trefoils: Iconic shortbread cookies featuring the Girl Scouts logo.

After last season’s issues with cookie-scalping, the much-loved Raspberry Rally cookies won’t make an appearance in 2024. So, if you were looking for a burst of raspberry in your shortbread cookie covered with chocolate, you might have to wait another season.

As for the cookie cost, the price per box is expected to range from $5 to $7, although this could vary depending on where you live.

While you may prefer the old-fashioned way of buying cookies in person, you can also make a purchase online — thanks to the Digital Cookie platform offered by the organization. However, remember to check whether the particular troop you’re interested in buying from is participating in online sales.
