Here’s How To Get Lower Prices on Black Friday Deals
November 21, 2023
Many Black Friday deals are already live at most retailers. However, the opportunity for even better deals than the already-listed prices is there if you know how to access them.
Although some Black Friday deals may be enticing enough to get shoppers to step foot through their favorite retailers’ doors, they might need more than savings to keep them there. This is why some shoppers are getting savvier by stacking their discounts to get the most bang for their buck.
CNBC reported that by using a price-tracking browser extension, shoppers can keep a close eye on which stores will have the best deals on the items they want to purchase. Extensions such as CamelCamelCamel, Keepa, and Honey can alert users about price changes, find the lowest price options, and scan for coupon codes for extra savings.
Shoppers can then pair their deals with cash-back sites such as CouponCabin or Rakuten to earn money back on those purchases and let the savings continue. Finally, they can add an app like Fetch, which allows shoppers to snap photographs of their receipts to generate points toward free gift cards.
Fox 32 Chicago consumer savings expert Andrea Woroch shared some helpful tips for those looking to save money and get great deals this Black Friday. Here are her best tips for stretching holiday dollars.
Woroch said, “If there’s something on your list that you’re seeing for 40% off or more, buy it now. It’s not going to get cheaper later.”
“There are some other things you want to pay attention to,” she continued. “Generally speaking, small kitchen appliances are a really good deal during these early Black Friday and Black Friday sales, usually around 40% to 50% off.”
Woroch claims that personal gadgets are leading the significant savings, with 51% off on some items. She noted that big-screen TVs, a Black Friday staple, are also good. As for hot holiday toys, if they are 30% off or more, Woroch suggests buying them now because they likely will not drop in price any further.
As for Cyber Monday, clothing, beauty, and footwear are where shoppers should get the most savings, according to Woroch. For toys in general, shoppers can find the best prices during the last two weeks of December.
