New Year’s Eve Revelers Paying Upwards of $12K to Ring in 2024 in Times Square

Times Square may be the place to be as far as ringing in New Year’s Eve. However, saying hello to 2024 is going to cost some partiers big time.

With 2024 around the corner, restaurants in New York City’s Times Square are selling pricey packages for exclusive celebrations marking the new year. Applebee’s, which has two locations in Times Square, sold tickets starting at $799 a pop for its New Year’s Eve celebration.

Ball Drop, the event’s producer, currently lists tickets for $899 per person. A ticket includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, assorted desserts, an open bar, a DJ, a champagne toast at midnight, and a street-level view of the city’s famous ball drop. It is also available for all ages.


If you aren’t a fan of Applebee’s, the AMC Theatres in Times Square is also hosting an event. Live music, entertainment, dinner, drinks, and most importantly, three VIP outdoor terraces with direct views of the extraordinary Times Square Ball Drop are available.

However, the price range might have some revelers thinking twice. The lowest-priced ticket is $649, and it gets one person general admission with platinum-view terrace access. For those with deep pockets, there’s a Couple’s Private 6th Floor Mezzanine package with Platinum-View Terrace Access for $2,999.

Bubba Gump is another restaurant chain offering ball-drop views at jaw-dropping prices. The restaurant’s all-inclusive ticket costs $1,015, the company’s website shows. The admission price covers live entertainment, party favors, a champagne toast, and a full buffet, in addition to hors d’oeuvres.


Those willing to break the bank can head over to the Broadway Lounge at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, where the highest-priced Prime VIP Couples’ Package — which costs $6,250 per person or $12,500 in total — provides a table overlooking Times Square, an open bar, dinner, and a concert by former Kool & the Gang member Skip Martin.

New Year’s Eve is what you make it. So whether you ring in 2024 by shelling out big bucks or sitting on the sofa wearing pajamas and watching the festivities on television, here’s to the new year.

The alert highlights Cronobacter contamination concerns with Crecelac Infant Powdered Goat Milk Infant Formula. Although Dairy Manufacturers Inc. initiated a recall on May 24, 2024, due to non-compliance with FDA regulations, new findings of Cronobacter contamination have prompted further action.
