Franchisers think they are under attack by franchisees

It’s not unusual for there to be tensions between franchisers and franchisees. Discontent with these relationships has spilled over into public view in recent years with each side pointing the finger at the other and politicians lining up to support one side or the other. “The reality is that our business model is under attack,” said McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinskiin at the International Franchise Association conference. “If you’re not paying attention to these pieces of legislation because you think they don’t impact you, think again.”
