Mastercard faces court over anti-competitive deals with major retailers

Proceedings have commenced in the Federal Court against Mastercard’s Asia/Pacific and Australian businesses over alleged breaches of competition law in deals signed with more than 20 large retail groups. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission says the financial services giant has been engaging in anticompetitive conduct since 2017 in the supply of debit card acceptance services, with the purpose of substantially lessening competition.

Renewed retail offering for Liverpool ONE as Kick Game signs and Kenji upsizes

Grosvenor today announces new retail activity at Liverpool ONE, where luxury footwear brand Kick Game has signed for a 3,500 sq ft unit on South John Street. Kick Game will join Kenji, the Japanese-inspired homeware and stationary retailer, which is upsizing its store by 40%. Kick Game Liverpool ONE is set to open in July and will mark the brand’s city debut, joining stores in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.
