Amazon Expands Buy with Prime Availability to all U.S. Marketplace Sellers

Amazon ’s Buy with Prime feature — which allows retailers to offer the benefits of Prime membership on their own DTC websites — will be available to all U.S.-based Amazon merchants at the end of January. The offering was previously only available by invitation. Additionally, Amazon is adding a new feature to the Buy with Prime package that will enable merchants to display ratings and reviews from Amazon customers on their own online stores.

Joann Aims for $200 Million in Annual Savings Fueled by Lower Ocean Freight and Overhead Costs

Joann is pursuing a $200 million annual cost reduction plan that aims to be fully delivered by early fiscal 2025, President and CEO Wade Miquelon said on an earnings call for its fiscal Q3 2023. About half of the reduction will come from supply chain savings, largely driven by reductions in ocean freight costs. Another 30% will be from cost of goods sold improvements, while the remainder will be from reductions to overhead costs.

Black Friday sales boosted retail spending in November

Retail spending increased 7.7 per cent year on year in November as consumers spent $35.9 billion in stores and online, according to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). On a monthly basis, turnover rose 1.4 per cent boosted by Black Friday sales on clothing, footwear, furniture and electronic goods.
