Netflix is ending its DVD rental business

Netflix made its name by mailing DVDs to customers’ homes before transitioning to streaming content. The DVD portion of the business is coming to an end. “On September 29th, 2023, we will send out the last red envelope,” the company tweeted. “It has been a true pleasure and honor to deliver movie nights to our wonderful members for 25 years.”
